Monday, June 25 - Wednesday, June 27 - Final Days of Class

Monday through Wednesday, simply put, was all about class. These were long days of class, working on the final project, and studying for the final. Monday we reviewed the field trip and what we learned and how the information would be tested for the final. Matt was sure to show us the Frequency of "Wake Up, Jeff!"'s that were said throughout the trip. As you can see, there were more toward the end. This began on the first night drive on the field trip, when Jeff was on Wallaby Watch. I switched him seats because he wasn't too good at the job.
On Tuesday, we took our final test for the class. Once we finished the final test, we worked in our groups to plan the Rossville Community, one which we visited on our field trip. I didn't understand most of the steps for this process, but I created a bit of a graph for the connections between the six capitals we studied. Everyone else worked on their different parts. Ultimately, we had to create a map and a powerpoint about the community. To get a bit of exercise and scenery in our system, Jeff and I walked to Trinity Beach, which was about 1.5 - 2 miles from where we stayed. It was well worth the walk! We'd been there before, but hadn't had a chance to walk along the shore. I only got pictures with my phone, since I didn't feel like carrying my camera for two miles.
I don't know what flower that is, but I grabbed a picture of it anyway. It's pretty!

Wednesday, we presented our projects and then had the rest of the day to ourselves. It was rainy, so I believe we just hung out in the dorms and played on our laptops. We (Ken, Jeff, Amanda and Myself) watched Thor and Rachel was completing her jigsaw puzzle the best she could, since some pieces were missing.
Here are some other random pictures!
This is one of the few designs of toilets in Australia. The buttons on the wall were the flush options. In this case, one circle had half filled in, which stood for a half flush, I think. The circle with the entire button shaded in meant a full flush. No one ever clarified which one to push, so I always just guessed. Their toilet paper was also ALWAYS incredibly thin, I don't think Charmin or Quilted Northern existed.
Yes, this is in the bathroom. But my hair wasn't frizzy this day! No humidity existed over there, probably since it was, "winter".

When Jeff and I finished our project, we were waiting on our friends to finish. We grabbed some "chips" AKA french fries and powerade while talking to friends back home.
Australian Vitamin Water, they call it "Nutrient Water".
My breakfast consisted of this most days. They only cooked their eggs sunny side up where we stayed, so I usually just ate the whites. They had french toast, apricot jam, cereal and yogurt. The worst cereal provided for your health was the equivalent of coco puffs. The rest were knock-off raisin bran.

For those of you who haven't tried passion fruit, here's what it looks like when it's open. Our professor grew some at her home, so she brought us some! You eat the seeds out of the fruit, which seems strange and crunchy but it's SO GOOD.
